I never had a N64 but I used to play this at my friends's house back in the day. It was one of the first games I downloaded on the Wii VC and I still love it. Great review for a classic!

I loved this game when it came out. It was the perfect Christmas Present for a six year old. To this day I look back on that game with great pride. I only wish I had gotten more and left them in their case new. Those Mario N64 games could have maid me a ton of cash!

I'll never forget the day when I got this game in '96 when I was 6 years old.
Definitely in my top 5 games of all time.
BTW for racing games like this and Diddy Kong Racing; the N64 controller is by far my favourite controller.

The N64 is my favourite console of all time, probably because I grew up with it xD
The games that were on that console were so different and unique, the old rareware had a lot of great games, nintendo had a lot of great games and many more xD
Plus you need no memory card, there's no loading times, saves from 15 years ago still work and there's no disc to scratch. Probably going to get hate for this but the N64 kicks the next gen consoles ass! xD

This is my favorite game of all time from a playability standpoint. It has been almost 20 years since its release and I still play it regularly.

This review fills me with pride. Where I live, I'm almost the only one to enjoy Mario Kart 64 to its fullest. Most of my friends like Super Mario Kart or the later Mario Kart entries better, but this one has always been the one I played for hours and hours. Even 12 years later, I still pick up this game sometimes and it still gives me a lot of enjoyment.

When I'll be a dad, I'll be sure to show this game to my kids... on my old N64 full of pokemon stikers.

This is my all time favorite racing game. While the graphics are dated, it's challenging, fair, the music is fantastic, and the tracks are great.

This game is so great that when I didn't have an N64, I got this game for virtual console on my Wii. Now that my friend gave me his N64 and his Mario Kart 64 game, I can finally relive my childhood. :)
