My 91 year old dad and I listened to this song the last eight months of his life together. Each time it started to play he would stop what he was doing, close his eyes, and just listen. It brought him to tears each time. He had sung his entire life and was preparing to sing with Lubbock Chorale this January and February for a concert in March and then COVID hit and closed everything down. He died of natural causes in April and missed his last chance to sing for others just one more time. I now listen to it alone and think of my dad.
