I was so used to calling the Mecha Sonic in Sonic 2 "Silver Sonic" and this one in 3&K "Mecha Sonic", but them being called Mecha Sonic Mk I and Mecha Sonic Mk II is actually a way more badass naming convention. I like it.

Also, there's something that people might not know. If you bring the 7 emeralds to Hidden Palace, you will not be able to transform on Super Sonic more, and you can only transform again after restore all the super emeralds.

Sonic 3 & Knuckles is a game I haven't been able to play until Sonic Origins. And I gotta say, I have been really enjoying it!
Edit: I see everybody Is saying things like "This isn't good for a first time" and "This version Is really bad". But, in my opinion, it's not that bad and I haven't experienced any glitches.

I love this series so much! This series proves how it introduces new Sonic fans in the new generation who have never experienced playing the first few classic Sonic games before.
Props to Evan aka Mardiculous (from Tails’ Channel)’s narration for being informative, fun, and charming with a great sense of humor.

I think my favorite things about S3&K in this collection is the fact that Tails can go super without needing the super emeralds. About time!
Also, gotta love that they introduced the mechanic to fly with Tails(while aying Sonic) even in single player mode, as well as the new sprites

Tip about the characters, they all essentially act as difficulty settings.
Sonic & Tails = Easy
Sonic = Normal
Tails = Easy
Knuckles = Hard
Knuckles jumps lower than the other characters and Eggrobo is much harder to take down than Dr. Eggman, he uses the same mechs but with a small quirk that makes him harder, same with sub bosses

Not Knuckles fault he was tricked by Eggman, Knuckles literally have never seen anyone outside of his island, Eggman just happened to be the first person he meets.
A lot of fans forget that little detail, they just assume Knuckles know who Sonic, Tails, and Eggman already during Sonic 3
