I think a major part of “living well” with mental illness is understanding that our worst days do not define us, no matter how many there are, so these videos are incredibly important. ❤️🙏🏼

I have severe anxiety and this is how I feel when I am going through a prolonged state of anxiety. The toll it takes on your mind and body is just so intense. I am so sorry you are feeling this way. Remember, this is not your fault. You are not alone. Things will get better.

N, my adult daughter has recently been diagnosed with psychosis and possibly schizophrenia. I found your You Tube channel while researching how best I can help her. Watching your channel has been so helpful to me, as her episodes send me to terrifying places where I blame myself and frantically search for answers. I hope that you are better and appreciate your candor. It helps me be better support for my family! P.s. Those kids are SO SWEET!

Hi Lauren, I don’t normally post. I do not have schizophrenia but have followed your channel for many months now. I have complex ptsd and was diagnosed recently at the age of 50 as being autistic. I experience exactly what you are describing and can go in to fight or flight for a couple of days. My body will keep me in this state dysregulation until I listen and reduce my stressors until almost nil. A very hard thing for me to do as a mum of three. I hope your team help you to work this out. Take care

Showing the fight IS living well with schizophrenia. As someone with chronic C-PTSD (and who lives with constant fight or flight), please ask your therapist for evidence based grounding methods (or look them up and try them). Your channel has been so helpful to me as a caregiver for my brother with Schizoaffective disorder and showing the struggles recently has been even more helpful than you will ever know. Thank you for sharing your journey. It is greatly appreciated!

I'm so sorry that you're feeling so anxious. You mentioned getting more views when you're having a difficult time. I think that is because you are validating others' experiences, and you are connecting with viewers on a deeper level. You are providing an invaluable service with this channel, not just for those with the same condition, but for those who are trying to help their loved ones who are affected. ❤

I know I am just some text and a photo to you right now, but know that I love you and you give me strength.

I saw someone else on your channel describe our group as "Team Lauren." I like that description. I subscribed to your channel several years ago. You say often, "Know you are not alone." Lauren you are not alone either. Team Lauren was behind you, is behind you, and will always be behind you. Take care ...

With social media, we are bombarded with unlimited amounts of “fake self” that are curated to make us seem without fault. Everyone likes to play perfect online.

I think the fact that you’re publicly admitting that you’re not catches a lot of peoples’ interest. We’re not used to seeing that level of vulnerability, so seeing you share this is a surprise and gift for some of us.

I’m in school for being a mental health professional, so locating and carrying those who seem to have run out of their happy is what I feel made for. Thank you, from the bottom of my healing heart, for showing that while most of the time you are Living Well with Schizophrenia,

You don’t always have to be ❤

Lauren, I'm 63 yrs old and have
biopolar 1. I used involve myself in many activities as well as raising my children. I would stress myself out and eventually become extremely manic. As a result, I had to quit eveything and felt like a failure. I found myself in the hospital many times from overdoing. Over the years, I learned to pick one activity, which helps my mental state. You will get through this. I've learned so much from your channel. Hang in there. you will get through this. Hugs

Hello Beautiful Lady! I’m sorry you are feeling this way. As. a fellow sister in the ‘mind game’ of life w Schizoaffective I want to remind you of your survival toolbox before you get to your appointment. Playing calming music, coloring, journaling your triggers or what makes you feel anxious, self-care techniques, etc. You are loved so much and I send my love to you through prayer. Keep shining❤

Lauren I honestly think you deserve a medal for what you do with this channel. Showing the good side of living with schizophrenia is great, but what I think really helps people is showing the good and the bad. Because let’s face it, living with schizophrenia IS a struggle at times, your videos about when you are feeling symptoms gets more views because it shows others who are struggling that they’re not alone.

The level of honesty you portray here is life changing for those who have tried to hide their symptoms from the world. I can’t thank you enough for the window you have opened for everyone, including people living with the condition, and even those who love someone with the condition. You’ve changed my life, and you’re not alone. Thank you

Daniel
