From my experience, I put my life on the line for the loved ones that share the same love I have. I experienced a tragedy that cost the life of a dear friend of mine. Even though it might not be wise for most, but I felt like this is what I had to do, and I know that no-one will understand. As soon as I came to the realization that something was truly wrong and my friend needed help, I took action. I took action fast to the pointed that I did not care to think about my odds of not only trying to save him, but I could also well be in the same situation as he was. My heart does out to him, his family and anyone that has experienced the pain of knowing that pain is a head.

I currently live in the UK and you have inspired me more than even my parents, which is saying something because they are biologically programmed to do so and I love them more than words can fathom. Simon, I have commented on one of your posts earlier also, and I think that is very relevant for this video as well.
I remember my first leader at work, who not only was an inspiration in professional life (always got our back), but he once went into the rage of fire 🔥 in a digital generator room in the basement, filled with an inch high layer of leaking diesel that had caught fire 🔥, with just a fire extinguisher in hand and asked everyone to move out of the building. No! He wasn’t a fire marshal. He wasn’t an army personnel. He was just an ordinary HUMAN BEING. Yes, because before everything else, a Leader is a HUMAN. And it needs COURAGE to be a leader.
Am I not so lucky? :-)

Hey Simon, Having commanded men in warlike situation, been in the uniform for over 25 years, I've experienced 'Courage' first hand - when bullets are flying at you, it needs raw courage to get up, make a dash/ charge and neutralize the terrorist. And my men have done it over and over again. We do it for 'Naam, Namak, Nishaan' - to simplify; the name of the battalion, the salt that we have eaten (our motherland), and the Standard that flies high (and goes to the battle) ....

What is it called when you put yourself at risk for someone that you know would NOT do the same for you? Leaders are often called to do such things. This shows the others in the organization that this type of sacrifice is not done out of reciprocity, but done out of a genuine, authentic love for the people within the organization. If I am willing to do this for someone that would not do the same for me, then others will know that my trust, loyalty, love is not contingent on what they can or will give to me.
