The story of the one of the most legendary moments in sports history.
Thanks watching the video, This was really fun (and tiring) to make but it was all worth it,
Firstly I'd like to thank the following channels whose footage was used and protected by Fair Use (More in depth credit for clips given below)

In addition I'd like to mention that I made a research error when making the script, no other competitors attempted besides, Pritchett, Magnusson, and Hall attempted 465kg, the other competitors attempted 440-445kg. I also made some errors with categorizing locations like Britain and UK to the right scale.

The fact that Hall is still alive and still in sports is a christmas miracle considering how hard he pushed his body.

A thousand years from now, if we haven't blown ourselves up by then, people will still look back and remember that one moment when a man first lifted 500 kilograms. Historic.

Eddie Hall is an absolute UNIT. Accessing the fight/flight system was stupidly dangerous and he could've paid the price... But just put yourself in his shoes for a moment. The amount of love he has for his family is literally measurable as HALF A TONNE. That's UNBELIEVABLE. And massive respect for knowing when to quit.

Gained a whole new respect for eddie, never knew how fucking insane of achievements that man has had

Every bit of content I've seen about Eddie Hall he seems like such a lovely guy. Just look when he realizes he's won, runs to the other competitor and grabs them in a hug, doesn't spend a second celebrating himself, just wants to immediately share it with the closest competitor. If you do read the comments Eddie just know you have had a fanbase while competiting but you've gained fans after too.

I thought the title said "moments", and saw Eddie in the thumbnail and was gonna watch to see his little section. What a gift it was to have an entire 20+ minute, extremely well put together video about Eddie. I even learned some stuff about him in this video, and I'm a pretty big fan of his! I didn't know about his childhood struggles, and as someone who had a very rough youth, I feel motivated, and more connected with him in a way

Man HYPNOTIZES himself into believing he’s ABOUT TO DIE in order to LIFT 500 KG.

HOW DOES THIS NOT HAVE A MILLION VIEWS! This is top tier content, with great narration! An underrated video at that!

there's something so unbelievably heroic about watching this man walk, watching his exertion so intense you can feel it on yourself, and he just keeps going and going until his body goes numb and he falls to the floor. It actually brought a tear to my eye seeing such determination.

I just came home from the gym (I even talked with a friend about Eddies 500kg lift) sat down to play some video games, needed a 2nd screen video, came across this and I´m f***ing motivated to immediately go back to the gym. This video is awesome and I hope the algorithm will push it.

the clip of eddie hitting the 500kg always gives me chills, this man put EVERYTHING on the line to prove everyone wrong, makes what thor tried to do to his reputation just seem even more awful

Eddie opened the 8th gate irl and survived to tell the tale. Absolute legend

That lift of 465 at 15:55 really shows that even though this was a world record, Eddie did not come to lift the 465, it was just another step to take to the 500.

if you ever need to cry watching someone deadlift, there is no one else beside Eddie the Beast Hall

The production value on this video is nuts. In an age where it's so hard to find good content on youtube, this was definitely a hidden gem. Great music, too. Hats off to you, my man, and good luck on your youtube career.

Incredible video. I remember being stunned by the lift itself, and then frightened by Eddie having blood come out of his nose. The relief I felt when he competed soon after… Nothing will ever top that. One of the greatest moments in sports
