During the terrifying scene in which dementors attack the Hogwarts express that is carrying Harry, Ron and Hermione, we see that the fourth person in their train cabin is a sleeping Professor Lupin. The reason Lupin is asleep for almost the whole trip is because the date is the 1st of September, and the night before was a full moon. As we learn later, Lupin is a werewolf and he would have transformed the night before, hence his exhaustion.

there was another catch though when he was teaching the Boggart banish spell when the dementor appeard for harry when lupin came in front of it it changed to full moon 🌕 with a houl of wolf, suggesting that he fears full moon as he will turn into werewolf.

I just thought he was awake for the whole ride but didn't want the trio to know bcz then they will be uncomfortable like they were discussing some top-secret discussion about Sirius. but when I think about it it just seems dumb NVM
