Great review. I love the new front end but now the angular front doesn't match the curvy rear so it's not very cohesive. Disappointed with the performance so I think I'd rather go for the Kamiq.

Very straightforward presentation without the "noise" and professional. Thank you for addressing the "normal person" who spends their own money. Congratulations!

Just got a 2021 Diesel version for £12k. 40, 000 miles was a bit higher than I wanted but after getting well over 60mpg even with plenty of town driving I think it makes much more sense than a hybrid for £30k+

I’ll accept not everyone’s happy with a diesel anymore, but I think they’ll be missed. It just pulls so easily in low revs.

Buy used!

Of course, in RHD form the glovebox will be tiny.

I wish Renault would give a heated windscreen option in the UK. Skoda and Nissan (and of course Ford) manage it.

'Car for living' is probably the translation from the French « Voiture à vivre » which is a bit difficult to translate. It means a car that is practical, that you like making a part of your life. Interior is also new actually because this car is close to the newly introduced Symbioz. Finally on the base trim level you got the same infotainment but on a smaller screen.

I have got one of these, the pre-facelift version, it is super to drive and I find that it performs well, off the mark and accelerates brilliantly when you need it to, I have not experienced any issues with the battery not having enough charge as reported here though. The Google operating system even tells you the price of petrol at garages as you get near to them, which is useful, it colour codes the in green or a kind of red, depending on the price. I am pleased that mine does not have the French flags in the car, I think I would have to cut them out if it did. I am currently getting just north of 55mpg, which is super for a 1600cc petrol engine car.

‘Des voitures à vivre’ was the French strap line for a long time. It means ‘cars for living’ suggesting they make life easier.

New Dacia Duster for me. To me Dacia now makes Renault rather pointless in my mind as it does with a lot on over priced cars today. Good on Renault for starting to bring down the prices let hope the rest do the same.

Why don't car companies offer bigger wheels as an option? I don't want 19 inch wheels in something this size

A few weeks ago, I almost got killed in a Renault Clio. The brakes stopped functioning on a very steep (curvy) incline and the car started rolling back quickly. The breaks were hard as a rock! I know that previous Captures were pulled off the market for brake issues. Instead of coming out with the new models, they should fix the existing ones first!

What are boot diffs (capacity) between 145hev vs 160hp petrol and rear seats in normal position ?

How about a test of Renault Captur vs Renault Scenic. Because to me it is looking like BEVs are getting down to the prices of Hybrids and ICE

Looks great but Renault have too many similar looking (exterior) and sized cars now. Nice to see entry level prices have been kept low!

" It's telling me I'm a safe driver " he says while fiddling with the screen while he's driving 😂

The glove box on this is on the right hand side. UK versions will be half the size as French manufacturers are notorious for doing the minimum when transferring the steering wheel.

Great job by renault on this facelift. Nice looking and practical interior worthy of a voiture à vivre.
