Here is a look at 1992's Star Wars from Data East Pinball. With a catch. Back in late December of 2012 Chad Hendrickson and a few other members of the pinball community put together a brand new revision of the game as a tribute to the original programmer, Neil Falconer who passed away in 2012.

This brand new version of the game is much more challenging then the original version and they've also added in a lot of new features. In this short look at the game you will see that you have to earn the Tri-Ball rather then getting it for free on the 3rd ball. The main ramp has had the awards toned down and you must earn them by hitting the Force Scoop shot. They have also added in a 10 second ball save as well.

I like how you can see Mario reflecting upside down on the right of the top glass over the playfield. I've played both Mario pinballs - both not very good. I was never a hige fan of this one either. It would be interesting to play the updated version, a simple ball save would surely do wonders for some of those bad beats.
