Your right I learn about this saying when joining any branch in the military and that is your a soldier, marine, sailor men, air men who is trained to eliminate a treat to the american way of life on command or on sight if put in a position to do so first. Your MOS comes second.

This is definitely something that I’m worried about joining up at age 34.

What do you recommend to minimize the physical toll the military has on your body, besides obviously plenty of adequate sleep(although I assume that is depending on your MOS)?

I'm concerned about the permanent injury part, what is/was your MOS? I'm going to enlist as an intelligence analyst and since it's a desk job I didn't expect to face physical hardship on the daily.

How do you deal with being away from your kids? Im taking the PiCAT and then figuring out a date for MEPS. My son is gonna be one in october and the thought of missing his birthday is stressing me out😭
