When two actors say more with their faces and eyes instead of loads of dialogue, so beautiful.

Those italians sure made fantastic movies back then. Their silent scenes were so sublime and eloquent.

2 minutes and 53 seconds that feels like a lifetime. What a great, great film!

The actors, the atmosphere, the music of the maestro Ennio Morricone makes this film epic.

Charles Bronson says more with his eyes in 10 seconds than most actors say in a lifetime.

I hope they will make films like this again some day!

Honestly the best final scene of a movie. She was expecting him to stay and he just said maybe later. Not just for that but what an awesome last scene of a movie

How is it that a western by Sergio Leone and starring Charles Bronson contains the single most romantic moment I’ve ever seen in a movie, and with hardly any words spoken?

Robards'' "Yeeeeaaaahhhh, I gotta go too...", kills me EVERY time!
The Ultimate Wing Man.
(I openly cry every time Cheyenne's death scene comes up...!)

The closeups, pauses, phrasing, emotions, music and expressions are perfect. Everytime I watch this scene I get the chills. It's perfect. Perfect.

I actually used this clip in film school as a classic example of "show don't tell" and the instructor, who had never seen the movie, was stunned at how powerful the scene was without any dialogue.

R.I.P. Ennio Morricone (1928 - 2020). Your music will last forever !

One of the finest scenes in Cinema. There isn’t an actor or actress today that could match Bronson and Cardinale or Fonda and Robards in their roles. Sergio Leone’s direction and Morricone’s original score is a masterpiece.
Claudia’s intake of breath, their eyes ...every gaze (there’s a video about that). Every second of hesitation, every angle and music is perfect.

Bronson's "someday" with that thousand yard stare. Can't put in words how many emotions that word brings.

Everyone mentions Claudia Cardinale and Charles Bronson for their outstanding acting...that's so well deserved...but please also mention Jason Robards....Cheyenne is one of my all time favorite (and coolest) characters in this masterpiece...thank you so much to Sergio, Ennio, Claudia, Charles, Jason and Henry and all other cast members for this outstanding all time masterpiece (of my youth)!

I'm not ashamed to admit it. This scene gets me every time. It's so beautiful and perfect. Like the ending of Casablanca. The good guy doesn't always get the girl. Harmonica wants what's best for Jill. He doesn't want anymore violence to bring to her life. Sometimes it's harder to say no, when your heart says yes.

Im 16 years old boy who loves movies. This is one my favorite films of all the time with the good the bad and the ugly and the godfather.

The audience has already seen the end of Harmonica's quest and Frank's realization that yes, he's "just a man". And yet, we are suddenly viewing through Jill and Cheyenne's POV, hearing footsteps and not knowing who's they are. Cheyenne unhooks his sidearm and the door other director knowing what the audience already knows would have simply shown Harmonica standing in the doorway but not the Master, we see who it is by the expression on Jill's beautiful face. We already know and yet somehow Maestro Leone creates palpable tension. And Jill's gasp when Harmonica says "now I've gotta go", the music oh that glorious music swells and Cheyenne's sad eyes plead to be asked to stay so that he can hope you'll come back someday" and the greatest stare in Cinema "Someday". That is Cinema and that is the Power of Sergio Leone and Ennio Morricone!!!!
