Was so upset when I heard they canned Card mastery. I was still holding out for that feature.

Why give us a Mastery System when they can charge us for all the cool things that would come with it? I call bull because they literally already have a "requirements met during a game equals a reward" system BUILT INTO THE GAME! It's called dailies and weeklies and weekend missions. They all include number of times cards are played, won with, cost played, power played, etc. They all unlock unique rewards! They even have card "collection" tracks that track if you have a Variant and unlock specific rewards based on prerequisites. "Technical limitations" is a horse s**t excuse. I get that it started as a phone game and primarily is still a phone game but this is becoming EXTREMELY predatory not to mention down right disingenuous with what they "plan" to do.

Given they were announcing this on IGN Live, I'm shocked this is all they had. I guess they're hoping the mention of Deadpool will draw in new players. I like that you can unlock a new card through a game mode rather than through the collection system. More of that please. I just hope it's not painfully difficult to achieve.

Let's face everything is really : coming soon, more monetization. In development, more monetization and in concept is of course more monetization.

Added to the list of thing that were said to be worked on but SD nevered produce. So lets see first edition cards gone.... booster vats now Mastery gone and no Draft mode. What are they doing and top of that this roadmap is so barebones its amazing

The cancellation of character mastery and improved ultimate variants is incredibly deflating.
I got a few variants specifically hoping it would boost that characters mastery and some ultimates in excitement for how they would turn out. Definitely pushing me to cut back to just season pass at this point

We can call a spade a spade. They realized that the monetary gain wasn’t there for how much Card Mastery would require

All in, this roadmap is massively disappointing. This was supposed to be the announcement that pulled people back into the game, not reinforce those that quit

Stringing people along with features and then scrapping them over and over again is just disgraceful from Second Dinner. Their excuses are just lies. Its always the features that benefit us the consumer that get scrapped while they find a million new ways to monetize with 0 issues. Character Mastery was something everyone was excited for and now its scrapped. There is 0 reason to get excited about any of this stuff anymore. Fuck roadmaps, I want results before I get hyped about anything with this company anymore.

Seems like the community pushed the draft mode, no? People have been asking for it in the discord for quite a while and every time the questions were answered in Ask-the-Team, it was always "We aren't doing draft mode for reason(s)". And now its suddenly in concept. Hard to trust the roadmaps after they tossed aside mastery, 1st edition badges, booster vats, ultimate variant improvements, etc from previous roadmaps. But if they actually are working on Draft, it seems like its because the community wants it, not SD.

Honestly, this content roadmap makes SD look really bad. We've had way less content this year, and what we did get was all just cosmetic stuff. They haven't followed through on any of the content they promised in the last roadmap exept for boarders and albums (which have gotten worse), and we haven't seen any new game modes. It's just the same old stuff with nothing new for over a year, except for cosmetics that you can buy. I understand that cosmetics are important to keep the game going, but without any new content, the game is just going to fade away.

If the alt art for the Deadpool’s diner is for a new card released that month they will get tons of engagement. 1 new card a month you can win vs spend resources

I definitely echo some of the comments down below. As a person rarely make comments, I come to say goodbye to you Alex ( and cozy) you two sometimes were more motivated to me than the games itself. There were two times in a year that I almost quit the game but listening to your podcast brought me back both times. You two gave this game so much energy and passion and as a player, I am fueled by it. However, , ever since they changed the card acquisition and devalued gold and its bundle, the focus of their work seem to be just getting max value from the players. It almost feels like they have a deadline of turning this game down and they need to profit as much before it does. Cozy and you had defended them long enough and seeing this future roadmap, not only not having the pumped new game mode, but remove the card mastery and only have card acquisition improvement in the "in concept" really burn me out.

As a person who has a full time job, it used to be so enjoyable to take a break from my tensed work but now playing this game is like a part time job that you HAVE to do so that you can be relevant to the game. I took a small break in march and april due to my schedule and coming back in May finding out most of the deck requires multiple new cards to be competitive. In the time span of two months, I missed hope summer, white widow, red hulk, mocking bird, red gardian, usagent etc. all of a sudden this game was barely playable. I used to climb up to infinite and now stuck at 60+. With all the new cards coming though, its again hard to tell which one you have to get and which one you can possibly skip. Again, it just becomes too tired to do all the research on top of not knowing much about what good-value bundles is coming up soon. In all, progressing becomes hard and almost sometimes without hopes with casual players.

I am sure Alex, you will still have a lot of passions as usual to create content and I wish you all the best. Meanwhile, I highly suggest you have something else in mind to develop (like warcraft rumble who sponsored your video lately or pokemon pocket that could come out soon). I personally dont see this game lasting as you would expect (as you always say you want to play this for a decade or more, which few achieves except supercells) if they are still running like this. So far from what I know, people are leaving this game. And just tell you that recently they were trying to expand the game to China as well in case they can get another market where even more whales are out there. However, despite Ben Borde specifically hyped for the Chinese market by making a special video, the most comments I see on those paid sponsor video were people who already played Marvel Snaps sharing concerns about monetization and the economy system, where many players were hyped up because of BB and marvel but decide not to play the game after hearing the card acquisition system. I hope they realize how much damage this is causing, and of course, lack of "fresh" ideas for a long time. Again, thank you for all the content you created and I might still keep up with the podcast, as my monday routine, but will say goodbye to this game.

I was patient of the lack of content recently because I knew character mastery was probably a big undertaking, but now that i know its canned... Idk thats rough

I would have taken a smaller scope version of character mastery, they can do albums so they can do the same thing per character no problem. Per character challenges and reactions could have always been added later. The fact is that stringing us along with details about mastery and saying it was coming soon lead to many people, including myself, valuing variants for characters we liked higher than they otherwise would have. I maybe don't want that variant to use, but I'll take it for mastery later, because who knows how many months it will be before I see it in the shop again. Well now we're stuck with a bunch of extra variants and nothing to show for it. It really sucks.

Same story with first edition badges, and improved ultimate variant VFX/SFX, poof without a trace. It gives the impression they only announced these features to give the perception things are more valuable so people will spend their currencies, with no real intent to deliver on them.

I hate being negative but the feature team is so genuinely incompetent it is astounding, what a joke can’t wait for them to cancel and take 6 months too add the “coming soon”

Was honestly such a massive L for a already struggling community definitely expecting even more ppl to start leaving the creator space

What are we even supposed too look forward too if we can’t even get excited for the coming soon section man

This road map is the same stuff they talked about in the past and still haven't delivered. The only thing that is actually different is that we have an official date for the alliances, but it seems like the alliances won't really change anything until we get some content related to it.

- No. Much more better! It's a roadmap of a new content which comes maybe in the future (No, except for 100$ bundles)
