Tour of a Nomad Living in a 4x4 Truck Camper and Trailer

Today we meet Curtis who has built up a great Dodge 4x4 truck to be his retirement home and then added a pickup-bed trailer that he had custom modded for extreme off-road use. His goal was to go where other people fear to tread, and he has succeeded!!

Just because I'm one to "Rough it easy" doesn't mean I can't appreciate someone like Curtiss who has the experience and capability to do it his way! Tell him I admire him and his ingenuity. A great setup!

A real example that it doesn’t take tons of $$$ to get out and enjoy nature. I like the part that he can get into the back county but he isn’t sleeping in a tent and has a hard-sided sleep area for security sake.  The other plus is a nice hot shower. Its
hard to find the right rig that will do all of those things and take harsh roads.

Thanks to you and Curtis my feet just got a little bit itchyer.😁 Curtis's setup is right up my alley as I love to get up into the mountains on those more technical less traveled roads when I travel out west. Went to the Overland Expo East last fall in Asheville NC. Saw some wonderful ideas and options for spending time in the "back country". Might be worthwhile for Mr. Curtis to check out if he hasn't already. The Overland Expo West should be coming up fairly soon out there in Arizona? (May 18-20, 2018 at Flagstaff AZ)
