Favorite budget IEM: Truthear Hexa. Favorite budget Headphone: Thieaudio ghost with meze 109 pro pads. The thieaudio ghost doesn't have the best soundstage, isn't the most accurate headphone or anything like that, but throwing that thing on some tubes and listening to someone like billie eilish or Labrinth just does it for me. idk hard to describe.

IEM: Salnotes Zero
Headphone: Koss KPH40

I've been preferring these over much more expensive stuff because they still sound great but they're also more comfortable! Both the Zero and the KPH40 weigh nothing. I can go hours barely noticing the Koss too, I can't say that about the KPH30i or the PortaPros (which always readjust while on my head).

My favorite budget headphones are by far the Koss KSC75(X) (recommended by you), They sound like HD600 to my ears (as long as they are fit tightly), cost nothing and are much more portable than regular headphones.

7hz Zero is my fav budget.
Many recommends Tangzu Wan'er but I think that it is too smooth that it has lost so much details and air.

Favorite budget IEM for me is P1 Max. I feel like it didnt get much tlak when it was new at 170 bucks, but now that its permanently cut to 100 on a handful of sites (someine in the Super Review discord even snagged one for 50) and for that price, it is a really nice IEM. Pleasant tuning and great technical performance along with a nice cable and my personal favorite tips, the Tin Foams.

intensely late to the party here, but I've long felt that the AKG k612 pro is criminally overlooked in the budget headphone space. Very hd600 esq tuning without the 6-8k scoop or veil and a marvelously wide and open soundstage with good imaging to boot. Only downsides are that the detail retrieval is average in its price range and the build is a bit rickety. It just feels like such a strong contender no one talks about

You never covered Koss KPH40 but they are my favorite headphone below $150 easily (and they are $40) someone other than Zeos should be recommending them!! Can't wait for BassJack btw!!

I am really curious to hear more about the AMP. I have been using a Topping DX1 at my desktop, and a Fiio BTR5, which are two decent budget options. My budget IEMs are at $20 the Truthear Hola or QKZxHBB, at $40 is the Simgot EW200, $80 is the Tripowin Kailua, and at $100 is the TinHifi P1 Max . The Kailua is pretty amazing, it leans a bit dark, but has good resolution, and very clean sounding bass.

My collection of REALLY good budget IEM's: BLON BL-03, Moondrop Chu (the OG), CCA CRA. However all of these get a bit tricky with how i'm chaining them up, for example my preferred chain for the Chu is to use Moondrop's own Dawn DAC and TinHifi's blue foam tips. CCA CRA is doing it's best with Moondrop spring tips and a warmer, fuller DAC/Amp. BLONs i use most with the Dawn DAC and TinHifi's blue foam tips. It really caught me by surprise how big of an effect each of these components if the chain can make and add up to. Been at this (only) for a year and i actually was completely swept away by the sound quality and attention to the tuning and tonality of the completely V-shaped CCA CRA. That IEM sort of opened the floodgates and is considered my gateway to the HiFi world. Thanks for the content btw! I've learned a lot by these channels that all connect deeply with this hobby.
