The fact that Blackmagic has literally REFUSED to give any kind of shipping update for the Pyxis is insane. Zero communication whatsoever. Pretty much a big middle finger to every person who pre ordered.

I didn’t preorder the camera but I don’t like how they haven’t updated the community about the delayed shipping. You want people to buy your product but you can’t give your community a simple update on shipping? Ridiculous

People forget how long it took the original ursa 4.6k to come to market. That took over a year from it's announced delivery to shipment. I don't really care about delays as long as it's not a mess when they ship it.

Look forward to finally getting mine. Thanks for sharing, seems we are getting closer but their radio silence to customers is nothing short of a disgrace.

The screen on the side is so boneheaded to me. At least with the Komodo you can shoot with the top screen in a pinch, but how do you realistically shoot with a side screen? May as well just take that off there and save the space and weight if you have to mount a screen anyway! It’s just so like Blackmagic to go 90% of the way and then do something really strange.

I love the design of this new camera, the winning metadata system BRAW, 6k, SDI Connector, 2 CFexpress slots and compability adapters but, why did they remove the internal ND Filters??? When we all know how necessary they are, they did it with the 6K Full Frame, 6K G2 and many guys are upset with that decision. I would not change my BM6K Pro for that, because I depend a lot on the internal ND Filters, because using an ND Filter placed in front of the lens for some reason brings problems with certain colors like green, magenta and orange, I have seen that problem in Blackmagic 6K G2 as well as Sony FX6, FX3 and C300. I understand that it is the external ND Filters that cause that type of problem when they are after the sensor of a camera. I had a Sony FX6 for a year and a half and sold it because the Sony metadata is not as good as BRAW, but when I used the internal ND Filter on the machine it did an excellent job, so a ND Filter behind the lens is essential for best results. I used Atomos Ninja in Apple ProRes RAW but it still takes up a lot of data compared to BRAW in 8.1. I don't know why Blackmagic removes the internal ND Filters from their new cameras, but they should consider making them with that tool again because they are essential.

In a few months they managed to go from being a smart company to being a ridiculous company, announcing a rehousing of an old camera and then disappearing for six months without any updates on it. They used the pre-order as a fundraiser to finance a senseless camera, I assume that, as I did, many other users have moved on to another brand after this lack of seriousness and never looked back. goodbye Blackmagic you make me laugh

The elephant in the room - a viewfinder that costs about as much as the camera and a fixed side screen that will be of limited use on set. Don’t think this will fly…

I am holding out to see if the DJI rumors are True. Hope DJI disrupts the whole market soon!!
