My dadi lived for 95 years, she was quite fond of samosa, street food.no diabetes, no bp. She was uneducated..
The only thing which matters for a long life is to be happy, be active.
Edit: One more thing she was quite known in her society, she was extremely helpful, had a lots and lots of friends more than i have in my social media. I never ever saw her using geyser or heater or air purifier, or warm water for bathing even in her sickness and her skins always glows, totally white shiny long hairs.

Its important to eat healthy and exercise but monitering every single thing you eat is exhausting. Just mentally we should have awareness.

Eat in moderation, reduce junk, exercise regularly, make time to relax/sleep. That’s it. Becoming overly health conscious has also become a problem now. There’s too much anxiety around ‘health’ these days.

Just eat in moderation what you like. Don't calculate every single meal and make yourself feel guilty for eating. Happy eating not guilty eating

Counting calories and being hyper concerned about what I eat literally wrecked my health. And that includes obsessively monitoring my sugar consumption. I guess the tip is to just be balanced without overdoing anything.

*Please Read this carefully*!!!!

I'm a researcher and here are my findings -

When you limit sugar the body starts burning fat for energy if the demand for energy consumption is high.

This is because the body needs glucose to run every cell and organ.

Carbohydrates such as rice and bread are easier to convert to sugar. Pure sugar like sugar we put in coffee is the easiest to digest for glucose extraction.

Fats and proteins are harder to digest and are least preferred by the body as an energy source.

When you eat more carbs that your body needs for energy, the excess glucose is converted to fat and is stored in the body as a reserved source if food is not available.

This fat is mostly stored in the belly.

Once you start cutting down on sugar or carbohydrates but if the energy demand is high, the body resorts to stored stockpiles of fats to burn for energy.

This results in fat reduction and an overall weight loss.

Other than this cutting down on sugar logically has no other health benefits. It is illogical and against science to claim cutting down on sugar has health benefits.

Instead this takes stress on the body because it has to use reserved source of energy aka fat to provide energy.

And as we know fat requires more energy to be converted to glucose, the body goes into an overdrive.

This is called as systemic stress. To compensate for this stress body releases endorphins aka feel good chemicals.
These are produced in glands such as adrenal glands which are on top of your kidneys.

This results in adrenal exhaustion. In common language the glands get tired from over working.

The result is you feel tired and fatigued, your moods starts getting low, you feel unmotivated.
You start sweating and get agitated. Because serotonin and dopamine production is also hampered.

People call these detox symptoms but it is actually the body struggling.

Moving on, the body tries to fix glands and release chemicals such as dopamine and serotonin but the glands are exhausted.

The body in a panic mode gives you cravings to eat carbs or sweet to come back in balance.

So called "fitness gurus" then tell you to suppress these cravings.

Due to suppression of cravings and low sugar supply the brain chemicals start messing you up. You get anxiety and nervous issues, which then the doctor gives you pill to suppress.

Due to the overload, exhaustion and unnecessary medicine and it's side effects, the body starts getting damaged.

Acidosis starts developing. That means the body starts becoming acidic and heat develops in organs.

The result is cancer cells start developing to reduce the acidosis.

Or the nervous system is damaged and you get Parkinson's or alzimers.

Heart vessels are affected and you get athelosclerosis. Result is heart disease.


This is just cascading effect that one faces due to experimenting with your health.


Your body is not stupid. It is designed to keep you alive.
Trust your ancestorsal wisdom and eat what your ancestors have eaten.

Don't go for such fads without having proofs and study papers or general medical consensus.

There is nothing wrong in eating sugar. Your body knows how to discard the excess.

Eat in moderation. Don't count. Eat until full. Eat ancestoral diet.
Our Indian diet has many sweet dishes which are traditional. They are not stupid to create these.

Do not waste your time in finding how to fix health. Your ancestors have been doing this for thousands of years.
They have presented you with the best possible diet after researching for thousands of years.

Just eat in moderation, exercise sleep early wake up early and be happy.

What is the difference between total sugar and added sugar? If any product contains total sugar 50gm and added sugar as 0gm then is it safe to consume ?
