When I used to eat a lot of meat I would swallow the seeds to flush my digestive system of parasites. I also like using papaya in my skincare routine. The inside of the skin is a great natural chemical peel.

Beautiful fruit. What type of Papaya is the first one? It looks like a dwarf.
Mine is a Hawaiian Sugar. My friend had the original plant and grew mine from seeds from her fruit. Fingers crossed that I'll get some ripe fruit.

I should have bought papaya saplings instead of growing from seeds. The issue with growing from seeds is that you may have one of three types of tree. You can have male, female or hermaphrodite. It's difficult to tell until they start flowering. When buying saplings, most sellers will sell hermaphrodites that are self pollinating.
