I'm actually holding a Cookie Monster doll right now, he has always been my favourite character while watching Sesame Street. I actually want to collect more Sesame Street dolls, just for fun! (Btw, Cookie Monster has been in my bed for months now, and nothing weird has happenend!)

Every time Cookie Monster appeared, I would think to myself, "What is this guy's problem?" Instead of scaring me as a kid, he always confused me

Maybe if you get one from the 80's, it might give you the nightmares? I dunno, but, I do have a story of a "possessed" Elmo toy. My Mother told me about it...

I used to have this Elmo toy as a toddler. And, I used to play with it a lot. But, one day, something happened... My Mother was alone in the living room with the toy. The toy was turned off, and my Mother was drinking her usual cup of morning coffee. Suddenly, the toy turned on without ANYONE touching it. She looked over, startled. The toy sang, and then, started to sound like it's batteries were dying. She swore she heard it say: "DIE!". My Mother, grabbed the toy, and literally, threw it in the dumpster outside. I asked my Mother about it: "Mommy, where's Elmo?" and she told me: "Oh, I had to throw him away, he broke.". Luckily she said I wasn't too upset, just slightly sad. I wasn't one of the kids who'd throw a tantrum. But, I don't remember it really. Although, I do only remember one little part. I was sitting, and my Mother picked up the toy, and walked out.

That's how I only remember it but, I don't know if it had low batteries or if it was possessed? I don't know but, I'm sure it'd be pretty scary for a parent to hear a kid's toy say something dark. But either way, I still got other Elmo toys, and nothing happened ever since.

I did own a Cookie Monster doll when I was a baby, so I don’t remember if I had nightmares, but I do remember that I used to chew on his eye. 🤣🤣

The original 1980 Cookie Monster was a "Grandma's house" toy when I was little (early '90s). So was the Pink Panther. Pink Panther way WAY scarrier. Probably because one of the first cartoons I ever saw was a Pink Panther cartoon about an abandoned (haunted) motel. A motel that looked just like the abandoned motel near my Grandma's house. I didn't sleep too well that night 😬

Glad my younger brother got rid of his Elmo doll years ago, he gets scared easily and was terrified of the Elmo doll after seeing a video on YouTube. The nightmares would just traumatize him for life.
