These are real life-savers, and very easy to use. As usual, your video explains the advantages and use perfectly.

Worth mentioning that these are used on bicycles for things like the water bottle and mud guard mounts to give a thread. If they work their way loose, this is exactly how you should replace them. Good video!

Can I use these for ground points on a car? I don't see why I couldn't but would work good for installing aftermarket lights, car audio aswell as other electronic components, giving a nice and tidy processional (factory fitted) look. Thanks for the video!

How does squeezing the handle on the rivet gun set the rivet? I don't have one to play with and I've never been able to figure out how they work.

Is there a difference between the types of rivet nuts?. In your example, the shaft is smooth but has a knurled section underneath the head. I've seen rivet nuts that have about half of the body with a knurl texture and other nuts with a partial square body like a carriage bolt almost. When should one type be used over the other. Thanks.

Can you torque down on these? Doesn't seem like the rivet has anything to grab onto and just spin.
