Blue Devil Head Gasket Sealer: 1 Year Later

It's hard to believe it's already been a year since running Blue Devil through my 4Runner. In this video I take you with me to Scott's Automotive and Muffler to test my Head Gasket and confirm wether or not it it still working as advertised, as a fix. Many people are weary of using a liquid sealant to fix radiator leaks or blown head gaskets. Blue Devils claims, and rightfully so, to not clog your coolant system like cheaper and similar products. Give the video a watch to find out if I actually fixed my Head Gasket for under $100.

This is now my go-to shop for the rare occasion my truck needs to see the doctor.

If you are looking for instructions and help with how to use Blue Devil, check out my video from 1 year ago when I first used it:

Awesome man!! I had a bad blown gasket in my Toyota Matrix last year and decided to retire the car. Would’ve been crazy expensive to fix. It’s been sitting for a year now and decided to try Blue devil yesterday- (why not). Car now is back up and running like a champ... ridiculously impressed. Can’t believe it worked

This mechanic Mike at Scott’s automotive, is a rare breed nowadays! I’m a retired mechanic and I have people come to me all the time being ripped off by shops! Props to Mike and please stay strong brother!!

Your original video, I took your advice. It’s been 11 months since I did the Blue Devil and my 2005 Four Runner is still doing good for me. I appreciate you. I found a guy selling his four runner with puffing white smoke that he just broke. Sent your videos to him. I hope all goes well as it did for us. 🙏 you’re the man!

Watching from the UK. Excellent video and I’ll be doing the blue devil sealant tomorrow in me Mercedes Van. And full respect to the garage owner. Very rare to find people like this. Humble and straight up

Man that mom and pop is rare as hell. Wish there were more shops like this, can't wait to retire out the service and have a mom and pop of my own. GOALS!🙌

Glad it worked out for you man. I didn't have that you did and I actually had to pull my heads. I still like to see the updates for products like this. Amazing some people have great results and others not.

Also that shop owner was cool. Granted it cost him almost nothing to do the test. Still cool of him.

I used it for a heater core leak 3yrs ago. 55, 000 miles later 👌👍. Did a flush first, ran the blue devil with water and drove it for a couple days with no thermostat, drained it and refilled with antifreeze.

Mine lasted about 5, 600 miles before it failed. Not bad. But it ended up being the freeze plug. Large hole that was a little harder to seal. But great job and great memories from the 5, 600 miles driven. Mayne it would've lasted longer if the hole was smaller on the engine block.

Thanks for posting this video. I just don't have the money to pay for a head gasket repair right now so this video is exactly what I'm looking for.

Glad I found this video, I've been hesitant driving around with a $70 bottle of Blue Devil in my 4Runner...

I used blue devil and I really thought it didn't work for the first month. The white smoke went away after a couple days but the engine kept running really rough. A month later and a couple thousand miles, it started running really smooth. I cleaned the spark plug that used to get really fouled, it was pretty clean compared to before devil. Now it runs pretty damn near perfect. Glad I didn't get rid of it in the time it took to work.

I posted here a few months ago that I have a blue devil repair that lasted over 100k and thought it finally failed. I was wrong, still good 120k and counting it was my water pump. Original motor 04 4runner 4.0 V6 with 318k did the 5 hour intensive blue devil fix for the head gasket. Worked for me.

That's awesome, I just hit a year after using it on my 85 Chevy K5. I'm actually thinking about trying the Blue Devil Transmission Stop leak on my wife's truck. I have heard great reviews on that as well.
