For anyone wondering in future, the photons from enemies and green sacks don't count, its only the ones placed on the level. Enemies respawn when you die and you don't have to kill them all again. The hole at 5.45 is a point of no return so make sure you get all of the ones to the right first. If you miss, you can kill yourself and respawn earlier to try again, photons stay collected on death. If you're still missing some, all of the tubes you can drop down have one hidden near the top which the foreground covers so make sure to drop in the middle and double jump

The worst part of this challenge is the combination of not knowning how many photons you collected and some of the ones obtained from enemies not counting. The first time I finished with 105/123 photons despite counting +150.

it wouldn't be so bad if the game didn't suck, wasn't that good back when it came out and is even worse now, did not age well at all
