If anyone is having trouble w the feng tail general you have to start from the bottom of the mountain a little bit towards the lake( south from rhino slope shrine) the cricket would start its jump route from the lake up to rhino slope shrine and stop its route just pass the shrine if you do it correctly from the bottom (assuming you have enough stamina 300+. I used ascension powder ) then you’ll dismount from the cricket and it have the option to hold on again at this point use fireproof mantle to have fire resistance on and at this point you should already have completed and gain the reward :)

Make sure you use hold r2 no matter what then when you can approach and press r2 keep hold. You’ll notice your health starts to go down so use your gourd to heal so you don’t die as you burn the antennas.

Note: you have to do the order shown in this video, because if you don’t have the leg piece you can’t get the head piece, and if you don’t have the head piece you can get to the mantis, and without every piece of the armor set you can’t get the jingubang, so really if you don’t get the leg piece you can’t get any piece of the armor other than the chest piece.

I swear the worst part of the mantis is having to shrink down and fly into his stomach then watch him menassingly sharpen his blades over and over and over.

Praying mantis is probably the hardest one mofo does so much damage 3 hits im dead

If you only play through the game once without ng+ there no point in wearing the armor? From my understanding each great sage talent levels it up defense wise but playing through game once only allows it to be the lowest level armor?
