Troodos Mountains - Trozena Bridge - Cyprus

Trozena Bridge is one of the most unique bridges in Cyprus, due to its construction as well as its location.
It was constructed during the British colonization using typical British mechanics, materials and designs (iron frame and wooden deck set upon beams). It is one of the few bridges of its kind that are still preserved - and indeed operating - and it is built on the banks of the stream where the water of the Diarizos River flows.

Most Trozena jest jednym z najbardziej unikalnych mostów na Cyprze, zarówno ze względu na swoją budowę, jak i położenie.
Został zbudowany podczas kolonizacji brytyjskiej. Jest to tak zwany most Baileya (od nazwiska projektanta). Ten angielski inżynier zaprojektował go w czasie II wojny światowej. Most charakteryzuje się prostą konstrukcją (żelazna rama i drewniany pokład osadzony na belkach) i może być zbudowany w krótkim czasie (modułowa budowa składająca się z wcześniej przygotowanych segmentów, które łączy się na miejscu budowy). Jest to jeden z nielicznych mostów tego rodzaju, które zachowały się na Cyprze i są nadal użytkowane. Jest zbudowany na brzegach strumienia Diarizos w górach Troodos.

Great video. Thanks. I am thinking of bicycling from F616 and turning right to the bridge and then onto Mallia. Did you drive that route and is it passable? Is the road ashphalt / paved or parts dirt. Looking at google earth it looks like a small bit before the bridge is dirt. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks
