The most hilarious thing about this episode for me was realising they're basically saying everything that is horrible or negative in Star-lord's life like Thanos, Nebula getting mutilated, Gamora getting taken away from her home, the death of Drax’s family and the ravagers being bad in a sense is SOLELY because of Peter Quill's existence and Peter Quill's existence ONLY.

Why was his name a Starlord? There was a reason for that in the movie, a very touching story with the dying mother of Quill.

T'challa Starlord is entirely original and it works so well with what the WHAT IF series is supposed to be

For the people bemoaning the origin of the Star-Lord name, in the comics is comes from the fact that his dad is the ruler of a galactic empire called Spartax. Different universe means different origin.

It's probably just a coincidence but in both episodes, those who were sidelined from their destiny (Steve in ep1 and Peter in ep2) don't have their OG VA reprising their role.

Or maybe they don't want any Chris to reprise their roles here? Or maybe they want all characters played by the Chris sidelined in the series!?!
