I love it watching you cook on the fly, my nana did the same, she had me convinced that a stick of butter and sugar made everything magical, cookies, muffins, cake it all started with a stick of butter and some sugar, I do the same, she came to America from Poland, even after 30 years she loved having everything she needed at the store, except during the war but she figured her way around rations with a garden. I always loved pulling potatoes out of the ground and her showing me how to take the runt of the plant and putting it back in the ground to have another bunch of potatoes. I miss her pirogies no matter how hard I try can’t get that dumpling flavor, do you have a pirogie recipe?
