Instrument Cluster Bench Test - 1972 Datsun 521

Here we are checking the functionality of the auxiliary gauges on this old Datsun cluster.
Customer came in with a project truck and no functioning gauges on the instrument cluster.
We were able to speed up the diagnostic service by uninstalling the instrument cluster, powering up, and getting it to function outside of the vehicle. This proved that the causal issue is not the instrument cluster, but something else on the vehicle.
We did find out what it was that was causing the problem. and we were able to get the cluster back up and running in the vehicle in short order.

Here we are demonstrating a post-repair bench test on a 2001 Porsche Boxster S instrument cluster.
This customer's cluster came in for a faulty center screen, and left with a fully functional instrument cluster!

hey i have a 1970 datsun 521 truck with that same cluster my problem i have is the lights are not too bright and cant see the inside at night any suggestions. i checked all the bulbs and they all turn on when i removed the cluster off the dash.

I have the same speedometer and after letting the car sit for a bit the gas and temp gauge go down, any reason for this?
