"This is a Appalachian oldtime fiddle tune. My version is influenced by Tennessee fiddler Arthur Smith, Texas fiddler Benny Thomasson, and my mentor Jim Wood. I tuned my fiddle to DDAD, and I replaced the G string with a viola C string in order to keep tension on the string in the lower tuning (tuning down the G string causes problems with the loose tension, it goes out of tune when bowed).
