I really miss these little details, these over the top loading screens to keep you engaged... the greatest part is that it worked. I miss the OG, (sometimes) interactable loading screens.

A lot of types of loading screens are actually patented. Aside from those patented, it's generally just a not a good idea to present taxing visuals or interactions on already severely limited hardware when it is loading data. For me, that's common sense. For others, I understand it might (wrongly so) seem that developers aren't putting in effort into loading screens.
