I've had mine for nearly five years now and it's been the best all round bike I've ever owned.
I've got an SC Project exhaust on mine and it absolutely transforms the bikes character.

"That's got some sex appeal, when you buy something with the rational side of your brain instead of the emotional side" - The most German quote of all time.

It also looks great! Maybe the best looking 900 out there that isn’t a retro.

Now have 17000 KM on mine and absolutely love it. It's my first bike and have no regrets. It's not extreme but never gets boring. I Do recommend!

Wonder if any of the naysayers below in the comments of actually ridden one?
And no I don’t own one but I did have the 2025 F900XR last week as a loan bike and I loved it so much I put 250miles on it. Quick enough for real world road riding and very easy to ride quick.

I have the 2024 tri-colour & i love it. I have owned many BMW bikes, but the last 3 bikes i have owned were the 2014 F800R, 2019 F800r & the 2024 F900R. The F800R's i have to say for me were the best bikes i have ridden with perfect balance, weight & power. My 2019 F800R was nicer to ride than my 2014 model as the 2019 had the upside down forks, electronic rear suspension & also traction control added. I thought i wouldn't find another bike nicer to ride than my 2019 F800R until i brought my F900R.... WOW what a bike, is it the fastest... no, but she gets up & moves hard when i need her too. With so much torque the engine pumps out it moves hard & fast when you need it. Im 53 & have been riding for over 30 years & i think the F900R is just a perfect power & well balanced naked bike in my eyes.

Great bike, reliable, all the tech you need more then enough power to get you in trouble, lightning speed 0-100kmh, cons its heavy, you need to delete the catalytic converter and install an aftermarket exhaust, you lose a ton of weight and gain a proper sound, also the quick shifter should be much better then it actually is (crap) other then that its an absolutely great bike.👍

Greetings! I test rode this bike a few weeks back and loved it. You rarely see one on the roads in England, so it appeals to me as being something different. My one concern is the engine, with it being a Loncin Chinese made engine, is it reliable? If I buy one, I'm going to be keeping it for years, so need it to be reliable!

I have the 2022 model. I will say it's a great looking bike and looks even better if you do a few of the mods. It performs well but I understand why people find it lacking something. I do find it a bit heavy and not so flickable. Only things I don't really like are the bucking and jerking at low RPMs (1st gear) and the quick shifter is not the best. I'm having my ECU remapped so hopefully some of those issues are resolved. I love the riding position especially coming from the sport bike world, my body just doesn't like those bikes anymore.

Ive got a '24 F900R, ive had it from new and done 5500mls on it and you're spot on, it does everything you need in a decent well made package. Its comfortable. Its plenty quick enough for the real world. It handles really well, its stable with a long wheelbase but still feels agile, the brakes are great and the tech works.
Ive sat on a '25 model and the improvements theyve made to the peg position will help with long term comfort on the knees. There are more exciting bikes around, the MT09 and the Street Triple 765R and probably more engaging and exciting, but on a tricky dark road late at night id happily take the F900R over those. A great underrated bike in my opinion.

No choice has ever been made with your "rational side". There is no such thing as a rational decision making. Rationality hides behind hidden emotions. And this bike surely delivers on emotions! It looks so good and it's a BMW so for that price, it feels like a bargain. Mine is coming in a week and I feel so impatient.

I would have one in the garage, if it was just a lil bit lighter.

When it comes to money, you have to seriously consider the Honda Hornet 1000.

Too bad I had mine stolen..
The ‘24 model didn’t really have very slow steering
