Synthwave was always missing just a little something for me. It was that wailing electric guitar in Dance with the Dead's stuff that really put it all together. More Retrowavesynth needs 80's power guitar.

I really like how this album is structured so it takes place "overnight"; the last track essentially sounds like sunrise the next morning, after you've survived whatever horror movie you've found yourself in.

So a while ago i discovered stoner blues. i thought i'd never find anything i'd like as much again. Then my dad gave me the novel neuromancer, and from there i really got into shadowrun and cyberpunk. i stumbled over megadrive and then somehow ended up here. it's... beautiful.

This is the most fun you can have with a synthesizer.. Sexy stuff.
I love the attention to detail on the composition that other artists in this style lack, like the occasional triplet accent thrown in to emphasize a crunchy synth rhythm or drum accent here and there.. The mixing is top notch too.

This fills a hole that I didn't know does exist and its doing it perfectly, sounding fresh but familiar at the sime time. I had such intense goosebumps.

I think with that genre we found a really nice niche there. Merging 80s Rock, 80s/90s Synths and distilling it to this balls to the wall epicness is exactly what needs to be done nowadays.

If now only some clubs and festivals would catch up on this movement we could be part of a new era of music. Appreciating the visuals, the style, the sound.. Would be so awesome!!
