I used to clean vacation condos for extra money. I always had food to take home! Some people even left notes on it and left a tip, and i hadn't even cleaned it yet. I loved the job. Nobody micro managing me, no stupid reports or office games.

My most recent trip to Miami we had an Airbnb. We filled the fridge/pantry for the week of our stay and had a small trash bag of groceries left over by the end of the week. Before our flight out we easily found a homeless man and gifted him the bag of food. He was grateful. Just another option instead of leaving the food in the Airbnb for the cleaners to deal with.

Nice haul. We had to leave so much food behind in Maui, over shopped at Costco and no one was really that hungry. So glad the cleaners got it all. Also there were places we could donate to military families. We left laundry detergent too.

It definitely happens! I used to clean cabins in Tennessee and we never had to buy Shampoo and Conditioner, and some foods that weren't open, I'd take or some of the others would take. It was awesome! haha though the mess left behind wasn't. Still miss the job though!
