Geraldus Redivivus (John Goodby and David Annwn)

Показать описание
Cross-flexagon of a portion of Geraldus Redivivus by John Goodby and David Annwn, a verse-prose-concrete-vispo versioning of The Journey Through Wales, the twelfth century Latin travel diary written by Gerald of Wales (Giraldus Cambrensis).
Goodby and Annwn's versioning is about play and open-endedness, and doesn't try to be too conclusive. The circle, they say, the round trip, always starts up again.
I used a cross-flexagon fold for this pamphlet as I liked the way the cross shape resonates with the ecclesiastical-monastic elements in the text. I also liked the way the flexagon shuffles the vispo sections to create new combinations, interacting with the sense of play and circularity in Goodby and Annwn's poems.
