Magic is one of the greatest players not only in Lakers history but in NBA history and Kobe is absolutely right he has his opinion and of course should voice it but I agree with Kobe even though Jim Buss has been slated in recent memory, Jim and Mitch Kupchak they have made incredible moves. I think we would agree most Lakers fans would have been happy with Just D12 but to bring in Nash the Lakers have a serious chance to contend with the heat and Jim Buss is one of the reasons why.

Kobe is just saying all the right things... he's a company guy. Remeber he also fully supported Mike Brown... but then game him the death stare in the game and he was fired soon after that. We'll see how he deals with the new system when a 38 year old Nash is the focal point and not him.

Brian shaw as the assistant coach was the reason why they so good on defense pacers were number 1 in defense this past year brain shaw was the defense of coach he was a big reason why the lakers repeated titles

Look, go check out the roster for the Suns when they had those runs into the playoffs. They only had two defensive players. Marion and Bell. Don't even get me started on the knicks

Hey to tell you the truth he says that on camera so a whole controversy does not start or so he does not get in trouble he is probably frustrated a lot with the moves Jim buss has made when it comes to coaching jobs

it's not that he doesn't know defense. it's that he doesn't know to run championship defense. which you know, is the stuff you need to win championships. if you want to win a ring your philosophy can't be "we're going to win by scoring more and being OK defensively". the proof is in the pudding, has d'antoni ever gotten out of the conference finals?

I only have faith If Steve Nash and Steve blake come back and they stay healthy. I think they should have hired coach Berie. He is a lot cheaper than 12 million dollars lol

People are seriously disgusting me with their bitching and crying it's not Phil. People forget than D'Antoni is the same coach that beat all Phil 3 times they met in the playoffs. People forget D'Antoni outside of Nash, Melo and Amare bascially coached bench players his whole career. People forget this the man who made the offense for 08' and 12' gold medal teams so he obviously knows how to handle talent. People forget last time phil coached Lakers got blown out by 50 in a sweep.

I dont' think it was a bad move. The Lakers have to find a way to win a championship without Phil Jackson. Because Phil Jackson can't coach for ever. It's time to bring younger coaches and help them develop into a great coach by giving them enough time... Relying on Phil Jackson is not a smart thing to do considering, the most he can probably coach is like 2-3 more years..

Phil got the best players all the time last era and this era. MJ-Pip, Kobe-Shaq.
you look at the spurs and popovich makes role players look good.. although phil is the only one that can really teach the triangle which is the best offense there is.
