There are no "internal points" for getting a secured loan, or any other lending product at NF. However, payment history, deposit account conduct, direct deposit, tenure, etc help create relationship banking. If a lender can see they are your primary financial institution your lending priducts are seen as less of a risk. This is different than "getting internal points" for taking any loan ir credit card.

I am thinking about taking out a Pledge Loan from Navy Federal Credit Union and was wondering about the reporting timeframe to the credit bureaus. I've heard various estimates.

For those who have taken a Pledge Loan with Navy Federal, how long did it take for the loan to be reported to the credit bureaus? I've seen people sharing that it took between 30-45 days. Other people say it took between 1 - 2 weeks. Any insight you can provide would be greatly appreciated!

I love your channel dealing with navy federal credit union, however i tried your method of 'transfering available credit' to a different credit card and it didn't work for me. The rep said that they only do that when you are transferring a bigger balance from a different credit card than your navy federal card has, they would have to do a 'hard pull' on my credit report

Great video! I just had a quick question... does the dollar amount of the pledge loan affect the amount of your internal points? Meaning, If I open a pledge loan for $3500 as opposed to just $250, will my internal points increase more?

The amount of money you borrow must be in your savings account. You can open a savings account with $5. So, if you borrow $5000.00, that amount must be in your savings account.
