I can already see the scene now. They have defeated the Ender Dragon. As they all leave through the portal, everyone except Jack Black and Jason Mamoa make it back to the real world. That’s when Jack Black reveals himself to be Herobrine. He challenges Jason Mamoa to a freak off for his freedom and Jason Mamoa accepts. Jack Black is winning and as Jason Mamoa is about to lose and be trapped forever, Jack Black starts to taunt him, saying: “I’m the freakiest Mincrafter there is, what do you have?”, and that’s when Jason Mamoa pulls out his secret weapon, the bucket that he crafted from this scene earlier in the movie. Jack Black looks scared as the narrator says: “For the first time, the freakiest Mincrafter in history feels fear, as he faces the freakiest Minecrafter of today.” Jason Mamoa then says, “Just as you taught me, buckets are useful here” as he reveals its contents, baby oil. Jason Mamoa uses the baby oil and narrowly defeats Jack Black in the freak off. As Jason Mamoa leaves and Jack Black is on the ground, defeated, he drops one last line: “I never told you my name…I am Steve” and exits through the portal. Peak Fiction.

I will say it seems better than the trailer led us to belive, but at the same time, the lighting, the performances, the costuming, it all feels like an SNL skit that's parodying Minecraft, and not a movie meant to celebrate it, you know?

which makes me think a lot of the other scenes just suffer from lack of context maybe
