He’s damn right. No one’s respectful anymore, even all the veterans. At this point, I’m tired of “Boys, have at it”. There has to be some sort of line to where you can wreck a guy. Also, we don’t need wrecks to have a great race. Last fall at Talladega was a perfect example of that.

ANOTHER PERFECT QUESTION! Some major media outtlet needs to take notice of your wait-listen-ask the best question in the room style.

There hasn’t been any respect in NASCAR when more BS gimmicks were in the series.

I know Kyle Busch was one of those drivers and the hypocrisy is there, but he’s not wrong

Kyle is right. Even if he’s had a temper and some significant blow ups, he can at least say that he’s the perfect example of what nascar can do to deter rough driving.

I think I’m honestly done with nascar for a while. Sport really has fallen off for me. Too much stupidity in upper management.

He’s not wrong. One glaring example are the restarts on road courses like Indy. It’s just stupid and you get guys at the front who have been running good all day get completely taken out for no good reason.

I think Nascar needs to do what the local short tracks do and have people booted to the back if they look like they wrecked someone (intentionally or not). Then Nascar looks over footage and see if they need to act any further.
With being difficult to pass and the current point system, that'll hopefully straighten things up...

And once again. Blame the higher-ups for the over-aggression of penalization.

Kyle couldn’t say it, he would’ve probably 10+ years ago, but the previous generation (for the most part) had a season long points format. We have a format that doesn’t hurt you if you don’t win if you already locked in if something happens. Let’s take 2 guys who drove the 24 for example. Byron was sent to the wall by Logano and as mad as he was, didn’t try to fight it. But when Tony accidentally went wide in turn 3 at the Glen in 2000 and took Jeff out the race as well, notice that a clear mistake caused a rivalry to last about 5 years (one that doesn’t get talked about much anymore imo). Sure Byron fell off after that race, but looking back at the Iceberg’s Winston cup standings before and after the race, Logano leapfrogged Byron by a considerable margin and as homebody as Byron is, i think he would’ve at least went up to him and made it more exciting than saying words to a microphone which is the norm.

I agree with his comments about this generation and lack of respect in the garage. And found it funny that he threw Chandler under the bus.

But also I do believe him when he said he’s tried. Look at Bell and Jones.. both former KBM drivers who are in cup and race respectfully. You can hate him but KFB is great for the sport and you can see it in many of his former drivers as well.

Just not in nascar, it's all levels of racing including dirt racing, moma and daddy buys the kids ride

Honestly, yeah. The over regression has gotten completely out of hand and NASCAR has done Jack shit to stop it. Drivers like Joey Logano, Ty Gibbs, Noah Gragson. Hell, Noah Gragson caused a 13 car pile up at road America and barely got anything. Ty Gibbs wrecked people intentionally on multiple occasions, including his own teammate and got nothing. Joey Logano has wrecked and run through people all of his career and the only penalty he’s gotten is a send from Matt Kenseth. And then you think of more people driving in over their heads in all 3 divisions. NASCAR needs to draw the line with wrecking. Bubba Wallace got suspended last year. Hamlin got a penalty for Phoenix. More of that, and start sending people to the back or parking them. Let’s get some actual respect back in here.

I mean, these drivers have to do everything they can to try to compete for wins and championships. Don't get me wrong, I totally understand it's not like what it was like back in the late 2000's, early 2010's, but with the new generation of drivers coming in, they're not here to sit around and play sit around all day, they're here to win races.
Now, if only there was a way we can convince NASCAR to get rid of the playoffs, stages, and maybe shorten the schedule to less than 30 races (I say 24), maybe the respect level of drivers can go back up again.

It’s going to be sorted on the truck probably I will except to see drivers wreck each other out of spite

This is rich coming from someone who has literally ran people over under caution, and throws a major hissy fit at least once a year.
