Judge to hear arguments on Jack Smith after Trump calls for dismissal in documents case

Donald Trump's legal team is arguing that special counsel Jack Smith was unlawfully appointed by Attorney General Merrick Garland in the former president's classified documents case. A judge will hear arguments Friday about whether Smith should be removed. Attorney and CBS News campaign reporter Katrina Kaufman has more.

Whats going to happen next is Cannon will request written arguements be submitted in the next 30 days, after which she will take 6-8 weeks to review and rule on it another 2-4 weeks later. That should bring us to just before election day, at which point she will either entertain another motion based on dream logic or saybit's too close to an election to hear anything else until after the election is done.

There should be a post-grad class on running out the clock, and this should be the main rubric.

Let me idiotsplain this. The DOJ lacks Jurisprudence and Jurisdiction necessary to deny or dismiss legal claims or challenges. That is solely for a judge to determine. So your claim that the DOJ had already denied Trump's petition to remove the illegally appointed special council has no merit or standing and carries no legal implication for Trump. The DOJ denied Trump's challenge to the appointment of the special council. Trump's petition to the court is to have the case dismissed in totality due to the illegal nature of the Special Councils appointment. But by all means, put a spin on the story so that you can continue making fake news. At this point the only thing keeping your ratings up is by mentioning his name. You know it. I know it. Everyone knows it.
