How to replace Glass Digitizer on the Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 GT-P5113TS

I used the following tools:

1. Open Prying tool
2. Hair Dryer or Heat Gun
3. Double sided adhesive tape

Total thanks man.   I followed your directions and they were excellent.    Samsung quoted me 200 bucks to replace the screen.   This cost me a grand total of 18 bucks lol.

opening the case, you actually opened it wrong. the way you did it, you break plastic welds. there is, closer to the glass, a bezel that is attached to the outer back cover and THAT snaps off nicely, taking the back cover with it. this also allows the digitizer cable to go around to the back without bending plastic out of the way!

Cotton gloves are good to use. Also, unless you want shattered glass particles inside your tables, it's good to tape up the screen before removing it. Otherwise, good video.

This should be done on a soft cloth surface, , with the mid frame taken off..
to avoid scratches to the customers property! BTW don't forget to put the fleas back inside.

I found that you have to make sure you have the correct REV number on the flex cable of the digitizer. I have seen REV 00. 01, 02, 03 and 04. Some are compatible and some are not.

Can we buy digitizer without seeing code written on digitizer tape? Just with tablet product code?

Well that was done wrong. You can remove the whole outer shell behind the glass and it gives you way more access. Easier to get off as well.

replace the glass and seems to be place right but after completed now screen dont work wont detect the touch what could be the problem? check cable twice make sure it was attached properly

What if the screen isn't broken and you can see the promo video playing in the background, but the keyboard and  screen don't respond.

Tried this on my 10.1 tablet however the digitzer also had a glue layer between itself & the LCD. Maybe some solvents would have got it, but nothing I had at my disposal worked without risking damaged to the LCD. Consigned to the bin unfortunately

I would have been better if you put a package tape on the glass  screen  so that it would not shatter all over the place and  you would be able to remove it easier

That’s not where you open it …you broke the clips from the back . Go back to school and learn some more😊
