A man hilarious fell for the ultimate dad prank when he freaked out over a coffee cup being spilled over him only to find out its empty.

Dario Rossi and his friends were enjoying a golf weekend at the Slaley Hall Hotel & Spa in Hexham on September 1 when his dad decided to play a practical joke.

Coming back from the bar, 65-year-old Raymond Rossi was carrying a seemingly full cup of coffee for Maxwell Jones, 51, when he stumbled near his chair.

Tipping the cup over, Maxwell understandably jumps out of his chair with fright, but Raymond has held on to the cup handle with his little finger as the group burst out laughing.
