Its when you no longer care, at all, thats when you are an apostate. Hope the caller finds his peace in the Lord again. Its not good to have fallen away...but some of us do (i did) and have to learn some harsh lessons before realising we better get back on track.

Someone who is apostate would not show concern but just walk away without a care.

I think what this man needs is "to HEAR" the Word of God.. Eph: 5:26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word..
and of course reading the bible.. but I'm telling you because I've gone through my own struggles that finding a biblical radio station having sound doctrine "bible study topics" on a fm radio station, has held me together whereas I would be worse off and through "hearing" God's Word I've been able to "repent" daily..and face in my heart the next line a struggles meant to be delt with.

Notice how this mans concern was more on his sinning rather than questioning if Christ was the Messiah or Savior. He is a true believer because he believes that Christ is truly God and Savior, he is just struggling with weak faith and God's ability to keep Him. But, this is different than an Apostate. Apostate are questioning and struggling not because of their sin, but failing to believe that Christ is who he says he is. They do not believe Christ is truly God and man. They do not believe that Christ alone has the power to save them from sin and death, thereby leaving Christianity in search for something else. This is the context of Hebrews. The author is describing that there is no other religion that can remove sins, Christ sacrifice is enough! Trust in that and you will never be an Apostate and God will keep you and He will guard your faith and preserve you to the end!
Who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time. 1 Peter 1:5

Is it still an apostasy if you feel the Holy spirit has departed from you and theirs a thought in your mind that you don’t care but you immediately realized that your doing wrong so you feel a great guilt with a great fear of God’s judgement then you immediately seek answers and you find that you did not do the unforgivable sin, so you are happy again with God, and you love and praise him BUT you suddenly remember what you did before and that is feeling you don’t care when the Holy spirit leave you but realized it then repent and seek answers, now you feel worried again and seek answers because you feel guilt that you did it and asking God for forgiveness. Is it still an apostasy?

I think where I made my error, with Jesus, was trying to believe in my religion, more than believing in the forgiveness that he has for us .We pray for those who wish to divide us .Amen !
