Adobe Photoshop CC 2020 Crash Course for Absolute Beginners

-- Today, we're stepping out of frontend dev & ui/ux and into the world of graphic design with this Adobe Photoshop CC 2020 Crash Course for Absolute NEWBIES! In this crash course, I assume no prior knowledge of Photoshop or graphic design in general, and we're going to create a movie poster (technically for a music video) from scratch, using assets I've provided below! The poster is for a real music video I'm releasing in a few days (12/9/2019), and in creating this poster, you're going to learn Photoshop fundamentals. These fundamentals will take you a long way, so that you can create your own Photoshop projects.

Bless you man, thanks a lot, finished it. Took notes of everything. the grid has changed but I found an alternative and added stoke to it and made its thin lines wider to kinda match your grid.

i got accepted into graphic design and realized that one of the requirements is that you’re proficient in photoshop - i start in less than two months and i dont even own the program. great tutorial though, will definitely help me fake it for the first couple weeks

Thank you for your tutorial. At the moment I am confused about the grid, because I can't seem to move it anywhere without changing the entire image, even if I move it above all the other layers! I also tried to click on the properties section to see if the affect below button was on, and for one of them I clicked it off, clicked it back on, and my entire poster switched from purple to red. Anyone else encountered these issues?

22.0 mins - when I try the feather and remove part of the original floor, it just paints grey. My brush is selected to black, I've followed step by step at this point.

22:44 if your white or black doesn't restore or destroy, make sure your brush is on Normal settings.
