PART 1: House QuadComm hearing on Duterte drug war, EJKs and other issues | November 13, 2024

The House Quadruple Committee (QuadComm) proceeds on Wednesday, November 13 with their hearing on the alleged extrajudicial killings and issues on the Duterte administration’s war on drugs.

The four House panels initially said that Wednesday’s hearing would be rescheduled to November 21, but later pushed through with it after the camp of former President Rodrigo Duterte said he would “confront” the committee members for postponing the proceedings.

The questions about Duterte keep repeating, and the President keeps explaining his response and his reasons for his actions. It's common sense, really; the President has openly admitted that he did everything for the good of the country. As the President, he has the authority to act in this way. His responsibilities are not easy, nor is it easy to find solutions to improve the nation. He utilized his intelligence in his role as President. As he said, "You’re not fit to be a leader if you don’t know how to solve problems or if you can’t address the issues facing your people. I’ve noticed that it seems like those asking questions lack common sense. Why do they ask in such a way? Or perhaps they have a different intention? Maybe they actually want a specific outcome, which is why they keep repeating themselves, as if trying to pressure the President to agree with their line of questioning.
