Hello, MrPhil, I'm a big fan of your videos! The Bugs Moran and Tony the Ant wallets I picked up from Ashland Leather have been my daily companions since I got them. They're breaking in beautifully. As an Osaka native, I feel a special connection to these wallets knowing they've journeyed all the way from Chicago. Thanks for creating such great products. Best wishes for Ashland Leather's continued success.

On formal belt buckles, the finishes I have seen that come out great are platinum, rose gold, 23k gold and a bit more rarely, satin gold, satin silver. The tone of the finish should idealy be close to the finish of what you would see on watches and glasses.
The ubiquitous vintage/solid brass and brushed nickel finishes in my opinion are very hit or miss with formal buckles as they can easily look too inferior when coupled with good leather and should be reserved for casuals.
