So apple was like: Yeah were not gonna give you a new charging block, you guys have a bunch at home. BUT we’re gonna give you a new charger cable that most of you don’t have the correct power brick for. So you have to buy a new one anyways. But don’t worry we’re still charging the same price for the phone and not really reducing e waste because you’re still gonna have to buy a power brick. Cool.

The 12 feels like a filler year for me, just general improvements over the iPhone 11. Sure the design is DELICIOUS, and the MagSafe is clearly them trying to warm us up for a completely wireless device, but theres not much new. Im happy for those that get to upgrade their phone, but i'm personally going to wait for next years device, assuming it'll have significant differences, like a no notch display.

Remember when everyone was saying a year ago how disappointing the 11Pro was and that 2020 would be "the big year" for iPhones?
-No 120hz display
-No Always-On display
-No USB-C
-No battery improvements
-Same size notch, 4 years in a row with no notch decrease
-Boxy design (Will now dig into your hand, will no longer be smooth and comfortable to hold)
Besides the CPU/GPU boost and Magsafe, definitely looking like a filler year for iPhone.

Same notch, no reverse wireless charging, no high refresh rates, no quad hd display, no touch id (not even in pandemic times using a mask. Maybe a screen finger print scanner?). Doesn’t tick any box
