Fun fact: the morbid Lumalee who wants to die is really a reference to Super Mario Galaxy. Lumas can transform into all sorts of celestial object upon their deaths, so naturally Lumalee sees death as a good thing.

I'd have to say Luigi was my favorite character out the whole movie, but I felt like he got the perfect amount of screentime. Mario being the one that's brave and takes charge while Luigi just carries all of Mario's things because he has a harder time thinking out of the box. I like how he wasn't just played as a cowardly character for laughs he really did have a lot of depth to him.

Luigi is 100% my guy. The jokes and scenes he did get were great, and I loved that he helped in the ending.

Blue shell paratrooper is spot on. I love his voice acting, his kart was literally a death machine, he literally tried to kill everyone, and at the end of the race he transformed into the blue shell and destroyed the entire track. The way he yelled blue shell was just perfect.

The King Boo option, so fricking accurate! He’s my favorite character in all the Super Mario Franchise and I’ve been a fan for as long as I can remember!
