both still use a vacuum line for reference. but pull style: boost pressure seals the bov diaphragm (less chance of boost leaking by design). presence of vacuum (shifting, part throttle etc) actuates the valve, pulling the inner portion of the valve (whole valve moves in high boost to vacuum transitions hence the sequential name).. push type: push type, while still uses a vacuum line for reference, relies on the pressure building up in the charge pipe to overcome bov spring diaphragm. very simple concepts... and I'm sure my explanation did nothing to help clear up, lol

So your also saying I wouldn’t have to tune the car for it to work properly, and would I lose hp or feel any lag in between shifts ? what if later down the line I wanted to add a prl cold air intake

Bought my si coupe in sept used with 28, 000 miles put at bov adapter on and my check engine light came that off and bought a boomba bov and havent had any problems yet no check engine have done the research and it's a mila second that it runs think that the cars that are blowing up are running a lower grade fuel cause they cant afford the have had no issues with my set up and love it

Right on for the info on this I’ve been thinking about getting the BOV is the link in the description the BOV that fits the 2018 civic si because after entering the year make and model there’s a more expensive version that comes up

hey can you guys do a long term review of this, I want to know if there was any reliability issues because I'm seeing everywhere different reports, seeing people with proof having no issues for more than a year and some with horrific issues like running too rich, turbo breaks, power loss.

Would it be bad for the si? I have the exact same car as in the video but I just wanna know if any issues will come in the long term.

Not about the BOV, but that spoiler is bomb. Is there a version for the sedan SI

Just a suggestion, why not redesign the adapter plate to have the top hole open ended that way you can screw the top bolt half way and slide the plate up before tightening? Eliminates the hassle of the BOV getting in the way.

I have seen videos of people recirculating the air that comes out of this bov, do you think that would be possible in this civic? To avoid to avoid people's concern about fuel overfeed.
We would have the sound and 100% of the air

i installed a prl short ram intake and this bov on my 10gen, and I heard 2 exhaust pops today, and when I accelerate it jerked on me, never felt that before

I have this blow Vale in my 10thgen I didn't like the squill sound so I removed the center piece, sound heaps better and louder spray sound not a sneeze sound
