This is a step by step practical implementation of distributed command execution using the python based package tentakel.

Distributed command execution is the ability to run a single command on multiple server at once.

Although this is meant for large clusters, Every system admin in charge of two or more servers must have this configured.

Besides tentakel there are other packages and applications that are able to achieve the same such as Anisible, parallel ssh, pdsh, GNU parallel, DSH, CLUSTERSSH, among other tools.

Tentakel can run on all the linux distros, Fedora, CentOS, Red Hat, Suse, Ubuntu etc.
