In the old days in outside sales I did, I was told half of cards or brochures, go in the basket, as they get hit all day with various salespeople from other industries, sometimes the same, business to business. I used to say before or after sales appointments “ time ya get out there, and do “ a hell of a lot of cold callin … on the cold, heat, sleet, rain, winter storms until people went . Also hell of a lot of drivin, phone calling back on prospects, sales appointments and a hell of a lotta cold callin ! . Felt like the mailman trudging thru the snow with the sack carrier on him , in all kinds of weather . Tough job, somebody’s gotta do it, tough life … somebody’s gotta a live it I say ..😮

That’s 25 a week in a 5 day work week, or 5 a day ! Lot of follow up appointments and driving, but great commission ! I always did salary plus commission and full benefits along with my music teaching students and gigs . ❤
