Installed new irrigation valves and wired to my new Orbit controller over the weekend. So satisfying now that I have auto irrigation. Now just need a robe mower. Videos like these help a lot.

I have 2 different colored wire bundles . White for front yard and black for back yard . I cannot get the rear yard valves to turn on. I am using the white wires from both bundles ( as the common wires ). My Orbit timer has no screws, but has little plastic push tabs that rock or toggle where you can insert the wire up into a hole beneath the little plastic toggles. The wires come loose at times ! I purchased this timer 3 months ago at Home Depot. What do you recommend ? I am using Rainbird valves 3/4 inch .
