Nice video, and the one I purchased seems OK for what I need it for. However, I was disappointed that the Sockets are so close together that you cannot get 2x 13amp UK Plugs to fit side-by-side.. As a work-around, I just use a 1 metre extension lead, 4 outlets, and limit it to 10amp and, 900 watts..

Please note..., it only has "peak" power of 1500w (for a second or so), the continuous power is just below 500w for that model., also its not pure sine, just modified.

Does the inverter fan not turn off? It was on as soon as you turned it on. See, I want to run a 18w cool box on an inverter and there would be 2 fans running forever.

Hi :) My solar panel has two crocodile clips as an attachment that can be swapped for a cigarette lighter. Could I just clip them on the inverter without the need for a battery and just charge of solar panels direct?

Hi Mark, can you post a video where you try and run it off the cigarette lighter. 12v power outlet. I got the same inverter this week. Plan is to use a plug in 500w heater in back of van so when i come back wet from hillwalking/ biking i can have instant heat. The 12v cigarette cables started to melt! I opened my inverter, had to tighten the conections but cables still over heat.

I bought an inverter but was surprised how loud the fan was. This has rendered the item useless as I wanted it for use with an electric cool box in a tent but the noise would keep us awake at night. Disappointing to say the least. What Db is yours?

Great review. Does the volt meter i dicate the about of charge left in the battery then? I.e. if you used around have the charge, would it still operate the same but be say like 6 volts or something? And then stop working when it got down to nearer zero?

my inverter just arrived, almost the same as on the video but it is a 10000W 12v rating. since im still waiting for the solar panel and the battery to be delivered, i want to ask if i can connect the inverter temporarily to my 12v PSU? also, i want to know the difference between PURE and MODULAR SINE WAVES. hope to hear from you mark. thanks a lot!
